BRENT SUGAR today will have adjudged one of the biggest and functional Sugar Farms in South West Nigeria with total mass of 12,000 hectares (120sq km). Out of this wide area of land, the company will Irrigate over 6,000 hectares and have in and out growers well above 5,000 hectares. The project will have over 60 km of irrigation canals direct from Ikere Gorge Dam.
The farm will boast of modern Agricultural Equipment for large scale farming and the ability to carry the local community along with inputs and purchase their crops. The mill will process 3,000 Tons of Cane per Day (TCD) which will help the shortage of sugar in Nigeria and West Africa.

Today, we went to Iwajowa Local Government Area to inspect Brent Farms Ltd, Ijio, a private enterprise set up about 9 months ago. Two of the products from the farm that I am looking forward to are the locally grown rice and the planned ethanol plant.

During my campaign in 2018/9, I talked about Oyo State getting involved in ethanol production. So, our administration will be supporting Brent Farms with the necessary infrastructure. I also promised we would buy their ethanol to mix with gasoline to fuel our official vehicles.

We welcome the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde to Brent Farms on a one-day courtesy visit to our Farm on the 24th of December, 2021.
